Type Adjudicated, non-competitive. Eligible for 1 trophy point.
Repertoire Romantic, Impressionistic and Contemporary era music.
Description This festival gives students and teachers the opportunity to explore music composed during three important musical eras: Romantic (1820-1920), Impressionistic (roughly 1875-1925) and the Contemporary Period (beginning approximately 1900 to present). Music selected must be composed during the actual time period and can be of the minor or major masters. Teachers should choose Contemporary repertoire that meets the OMTA syllabus requirements. Copies of the OMTA Lower Division and Upper Division suggested repertoire lists are available on the State website.
