David Chase is the son of Lowell and Patricia Chase who were both well known in Eugene, Oregon for their musical talents and vocations. After beginning his study of piano at age five, David studied with Constance and Francis Bittner and Esther Woll, also of Eugene. Upon entering college, he majored in piano performance, studying with Gabriel Chodos, and received his Bachelorís degree from The State University of New York. He then returned to the University of Oregon and received a Masterís Degree in piano performance, under the direction of Victor Steinhardt.
David has taught both young people and adults in the Boston, Sacramento, and Denver areas.
He has taught piano performance, music, and performance theory in Eugene since 1987.
He is a member of Oregon Music Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association, and continues to teach and play a variety of music.
David and his wife, Reva, live in the Ferry Street Bridge area of Eugene.
