A successful Yearbook requires the Eugene District OMTA President, the Committee Chairs, and the Yearbook Editor working together. Each year the Committee Chairs update the information stored in the master computer file for their area and submit it to the Editor by computer. The President reviews the entire book and works closely with the Editor before the Yearbook goes to press.
The Committee Chair Person asks the Editor to send them the files for updating. The Editor compiles the updated files into the Yearbook Master File. Only Microsoft Word (.doc) files can be included in the Master File. If you do not have Microsoft Word, you can rent a computer at Kinkos for a nominal fee.
Submit your digital files to the Editor as an email attachment using the paperclip icon. Printed or faxed copies of documents are NOT accepted. Documents sent in Acrobat (.pdf) format cannot be opened in Microsoft Word and therefore cannot be included in the Yearbook Master File.
The deadline for having your updated files to the Editor is August 1st. The Editor works on the Yearbook during the first two weeks in August. After August 15, the Yearbook is printed and the Master File is sent to the Webmaster.
Ads for inclusion in the Yearbook are designed by the advertisers and sent to the OMTA Treasurer, who bills them for the size ad they have ordered. Advertisers need to size their own ads. If they order a ½" ad, they need to send a ½" ad for inclusion. If they send a ½ page ad, the Treasurer will catch this error. We have no volunteer who sizes ads. Ad sales are handled by the Advertising Committee.
Suggestions for improving the OMTA Yearbook are always appreciated.
