10 AM Dr. Brian Hsu Presents Reimagining the Piano Canon: American Landscape

As Keys to Inclusion continues to reimagine the piano canon, I am thrilled to present and

perform our newest initiative: American Landscape. This presentation/performance will feature a

collection of newly commissioned works that celebrate the cultural and geographical richness of

America. American Landscape will include intermediate to advanced piano pieces that are both

imaginative and pedagogically accessible, designed to engage younger students while offering

meaningful technical and musical development. Each piece I will be performing reflects a

distinct aspect of the American experience—whether inspired by a specific region, a cultural

tradition, a personal story, or the unique “feeling” of a community.
